Authorities in Abu Dhabi said they intercepted a drone that targeted Zayed International Airport, an incident that left one person dead and seven others injured after debris fell to the ground.

Abu Dhabi Airports confirmed that the competent authorities in the emirate handled the situation. The falling debris caused the death of an Asian national. Seven other people sustained injuries.

Abu Dhabi Airports called on the public to avoid spreading rumours or unverified information. Residents are urged to rely only on official sources for updates.
