Abu Dhabi opens night beach on Corniche

Abu Dhabi City Municipality has launched the Night Beach on the Corniche, giving residents and visitors a safe place to swim after sunset. The new facility, operated under the Department of Municipalities and Transport, is part of efforts to enhance public amenities and encourage outdoor lifestyles.
The beach is open daily from 6 pm to 10 pm, with extended hours until midnight on weekends from Friday to Sunday. In addition to night swimming, the venue offers volleyball, basketball and football courts, creating a lively environment for evening recreation.
Access to the beach is provided through gates 4 to 6, covering a 1,000 metre stretch of safe swimming. The initiative underscores Abu Dhabi’s focus on improving community facilities while promoting health, fitness and leisure along the capital’s iconic waterfront.
