Türkiye has sharply criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his remarks targeting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying he lacks the legitimacy to criticise others.

According to Anadolu Agency, Türkiye’s Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said Netanyahu has “no moral values and legitimacy to lecture anyone”.

Duran accused Netanyahu of orchestrating a “genocide in Gaza” and destabilising the region through military actions. He described the Israeli leader as “a criminal with arrest warrants to his name with no friends left”.

“He will be held accountable sooner or later for his crimes against humanity,” Duran said in a post on social media platform X.

He added that Türkiye remains committed to standing against what he described as oppression and to working towards a more just, peaceful, and secure world.

The remarks mark a further escalation in tensions between Türkiye and Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the region.
