Authorities have reminded pilgrims that the Tawakkalna app, developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, offers several digital services to assist them during Hajj. The app supports seven languages: Arabic, English, Filipino, Indonesian, Bangladeshi, Urdu and Hindi.

Tawakkalna provides pilgrims with the latest information and alerts, weather updates for Makkah and Madinah, Qur’an readings, qibla direction and prayer timings. Pilgrims can display their digital Hajj card (Nusuk) on the app, while Hajj workers can access entry permits for holy sites.

The app's “rituals” section allows pilgrims with a Hajj permit to obtain a permit for Umrah. It also includes a “Help Me” section, a distress call function, and a way to check volunteers' credentials.

With 32 million users, Tawakkalna offers 315 electronic services and can be used in over 77 countries. The annual Hajj pilgrimage began on Friday, June 14, and lasts till Wednesday, June 19.
