Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed regional developments in separate phone calls with his Iranian and Pakistani counterparts, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

Prince Faisal spoke with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, with discussions focusing on Pakistani mediation efforts and ongoing diplomatic talks between Iran and the United States, the ministry said.

In a separate call, Prince Faisal held talks with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

The discussions covered Pakistan’s role in mediating between Tehran and Washington, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Both sides stressed the importance of diplomatic solutions and expressed support for efforts aimed at restoring stability in the region.

Pakistan is leading neutral mediation efforts between the United States and Iran as part of attempts to de-escalate the regional war.
