The Saudi Council of Ministers has called on the international community, particularly the permanent members of the UN Security Council, to act immediately to stop Israeli crimes against Palestinians and their occupied land.

The Cabinet session, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday, condemned the Israeli prime minister’s “Greater Israel Vision” and rejected settlement and expansionist projects. It reaffirmed the Palestinian people’s right to establish an independent state in line with international law and denounced the approval of new settlements around occupied Jerusalem.

The Cabinet also expressed support for diplomatic efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis peacefully. It welcomed international summits that brought together US, Russian, Ukrainian and European leaders.

At the start of the meeting, the Crown Prince briefed ministers on his phone calls with UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, as well as a message from Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio.

Marking World Humanitarian Day, the Cabinet highlighted Saudi Arabia’s longstanding humanitarian contributions and its position among the world’s top donor countries. It also reviewed education sector achievements as the new academic year begins, including curriculum development, AI integration, teacher training and talent support.

The Cabinet approved the Handicrafts Law and authorized several agreements. These included MoUs in sports with Spain, tourism promotion with Qatar, health cooperation with Syria, training with the University of California, Berkeley, and archives cooperation with the Maldives. It also approved agreements with Azerbaijan on small and medium enterprises, Kyrgyzstan on customs cooperation, the US on customs assistance and Grenada on air transport services.
