Jeddah: Tourist visa holders coming to Saudi Arabia will not be allowed to land at Jeddah, Madinah, Yanbu and Ta'if airports. This restriction comes in connection with hajj reason, and the restriction will apply from Thursday, June (Dhul Qa'ad 10) to Saturday July 9, (Dhul Hajj 10).

This has been explained in the Hajj travel guidelines issued by the authorities for airlines in the country.

The restriction applies to all types of visit visas. Saudi Arabian Airlines has issued a circular to tourism companies stating that those arriving in Saudi Arabia on such visas will not be accepted for one month at the four mentioned airports. The decision is in view of the influx of pilgrims arriving in the country on Hajj visas during the period.

However, holders of visitor visas can arrive in Riyadh Airport during this time. But they must carry a return ticket for travel from Riyadh airport itself.

The circular also advises airlines that they should not issue such passengers domestic tickets to Jeddah, Madinah, Yambu and Ta'if airports.
