LuLu extends support to animals with an exclusive 'CAT SHOW' on World Animal Day
text_fieldsSaudi Arabia: Pets are the stars of a unique show at LuLu stores in Saudi Arabia where a 'CAT SHOW' was launched on October 4 which was also 'World Animal Day. The promotional show which celebrates pets and their importance in our lives runs from October 4 to 10 across various LuLu Hypermarkets in the Kingdom.
The show titled "World for Everyone" was officially inaugurated by Dr Ali Mohammed Al Doweriej, Director General of Veterinary Health and Monitoring, Ministry of Environment Water & Agriculture on Monday. Upon inaugurating, Dr Ali stressed the importance of World Animal Day, saying "Animal welfare is everyone's responsibility."
"The idea is to promote animal well-being and LuLu's vision of a world where all animals live free from suffering and where pets are cherished," said Shehim Mohammed, Director of LuLu Hypermarkets Saudi Arabia.
"To this end, LuLu will showcase the latest in pet care: from pet foods that help set the nutritional standards for pets to pet care products for good grooming and health, as well as pet accessories that perk up your pet-pampering routines and also your pets' appearances," he said
"Special promotions and deals are available on all these items," he added.
The promotional run of the events starts with a loud meow, as there will be a cat show in LuLu Hypermarkets outlets in Yarmouk(Riyad), Ahsa, Khobar, and Jeddah where cat-owners can show off their pets and win exciting prizes for them.
The line-up of events includes the participation of animal welfare societies like the Rahma Association and the Riyadh Shelter in LuLu Hypermarket, Atyaf mall, Yarmouk in Riyadh.
In a statement, the organisers informed that there will be the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Environment Water and Agriculture, King Saud University, Saudi Art Association at these events.
"Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of KSA will grace us with their presence at LuLu Hypermarket, Al Ahsa," said the statement.
"They have also wholeheartedly extended their support to the promotion of the events at other locations – Khobar and Jeddah." the statement added.
"Together we can all make a difference to the way we interact with the animal world, as animals are an important part of the global eco-system and whether domesticated or wild, we have to treat them with kindness and respect," Shehim Mohammed said.
"LuLu will work to spread this message through this unique festival, and we welcome all to participate." he further said.
