Riyadh: Now the Hajj has ended, pilgrims are flocking to Madinah to visit the Prophet's Mosque prior to leaving Saudi Arabia, Arab News reported citing Saudi Press Agency.

SPA said that pilgrims who couldn't visit Madina, Islam's second most holy city, before Hajj, which ended on Tuesday, will visit the place during the next few days.

Pilgrims could pay their respect to Prophet Muhammad and offer prayers at his mosque.

The administration has boosted services, including health for the post-Hajj season. Security has been increased on the route between Makkah and Madinah in order to enhance the smooth flow of traffic there.

Security troops are fielded 24 hours to ensure safety. They will be monitoring vehicle transit along the route.

Before Hajj, Madinah was visited by more than 390,000 pilgrims, according to SPA.
