“Muscat Nights 2026” has drawn strong crowds across multiple locations in the Omani capital since opening on January 1, with organisers reporting heavy footfall and broad participation during the first days of the festival.

Newly added venues, including sites in the Wilayat of Quriyat and several shopping malls, have expanded the festival’s reach alongside established locations across Muscat Governorate. Visitors have been offered a mix of live shows, exhibitions and themed activities spread across the city.

During the opening three days, Thursday through Saturday, large numbers of residents and tourists of different nationalities attended the events, with steady movement reported at venue entrances and internal walkways.

Running until January 31, the festival features daily programmes designed to appeal to a wide audience, combining cultural displays, sports activities, entertainment segments and traditional folklore performances.

Key venues hosting the events include Qurum Natural Park, Al Amerat Public Park, the Oman Automobile Association grounds, Seeb Beach, Quriyat Park and Wadi Al Khoudh.

Organisers also noted increased participation from jobseekers and small and medium enterprise owners, reflecting Muscat Municipality’s efforts to promote seasonal employment, support skilled professions and strengthen the festival’s contribution to the local economy.
