Muscat: ONEIC E-Business, a prominent online payment service provider, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 'MeFriend,' a digital initiative by Gulf Madhyamam. This partnership marks a significant advancement for business owners in Oman, enabling them to showcase their brands and offerings to a vast consumer base.

Per the agreement, Omani business enterprises' services, offers, and deals will be accessible on ONEIC Pay, facilitating easy access for all customers. Consequently, ONEIC Pay is set to become Oman's premier business platform. The collaboration between ONEIC E-Business and 'MeFriend stands to benefit both business entrepreneurs and consumers alike. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Eng. Aziz Al Hasani, General Manager of IT and E-Business at ONEIC, and K. Muhammad Rafiq, the Global Head of Business Operations at Gulf Madhyamam. Eng. Aziz Al Hasani expressed that partnering with 'MeFriend' will enhance ONEIC Pay commitment to service excellence, leveraging its extensive customer network spanning 300,000 square kilometres across Oman. K. Muhammad Rafiq emphasized that the collaboration with ONEIC marks a significant milestone for Gulf Madhyamam as it commemorates its 25th anniversary. Present at the MoU signing ceremony were Hayat Al Balushi, Senior Manager of E-Business at ONEIC, Muhsin M. Ali, Project Head of 'MeFriend', and Shaiju Salahuddin, Marketing Manager of Gulf Madhyamam.

With a user base exceeding 500K, ONEIC Pay is positioned to transform business practices by providing customized services and valuable insights for enterprises throughout Oman and the GCC region. As a marketing service provider, ONEIC Pay users will also benefit from exclusive offers presented by 'Mefriend'. Additionally, the agreement ensures that essential notifications and helpline services, beneficial for individuals in Oman, will be easily accessible through the app. Established in 1978, ONEIC is a prominent company in Oman, specializing in engineering, utility services, and investment. It serves as a trusted platform for both Omani residents and foreigners, facilitating payments for essential services such as water, electricity, ROP services, and telephone bills. ONEIC boasts a network of more than 95 offices across the Sultanate.

With a rich history spanning over 45 years, ONEIC offers a range of products including the ONEIC Bill & Pay app, Self-Service Machine - KIOSK, Direct Banking, M-POS, and website. This extensive lineup reflects ONEIC's commitment to innovation and convenience for its customers. By partnering with 'MeFriend,' there's a promising opportunity to not only boost the popularity of the app but also to diversify and enrich its array of services.

This collaboration aligns with ONEIC E-Business's ongoing efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and adapt to evolving market demands.

'MeFriend' serves as a reliable companion, offering expatriates essential details and information about the GCC region. Initially, 'MeFriend' was soft-launched in Saudi Arabia as a standalone app and business services platform. It will be fully launched in the near future, coinciding with Gulf Madhyamam's 25th anniversary, as a gift for expatriates in the GCC, expressing gratitude for their support and cooperation. Later, it expanded to Oman in partnership with ONEIC E-Business, and it will soon launch in Bahrain and Kuwait. 'MeFriend' provides expatriates with utility services, promotional information, marketing solutions, news updates, helplines, event notifications, client activation programs, and more.
