Kuwait International Airport has resumed receiving and operating flights of Arab and foreign airlines as part of a phased reopening plan following the completion of maintenance, upgrade and operational readiness works.
Passenger operations resumed at Terminal 1, with authorities implementing measures to ensure smooth air traffic movement and facilitate travel procedures.
Officials said the reopening aims to restore the airport’s operational capacity and improve the efficiency of Kuwait’s air transport sector to meet the needs of passengers and airlines.
Under the updated procedures, check-in counters for flights to GCC and other Arab destinations will close one hour before departure.
For all other international destinations, check-in counters will close one hour and 30 minutes before departure.
Airport authorities advised passengers to arrive early, verify flight schedules with their airlines and allow additional time while operations continue under the phased reopening plan.
