Doha: The first group of Palestinians injured in Israeli attack arrived here on Monday for expert medical treatment.

They reached Doha on board a medical evacuation plane specially arranged by Amiri Air Force, from El Arish International Airport in Egypt.

The wounded individuals were transported to the aircraft by ambulances.

Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, shared images of receiving the Palestinians and facilitating their transport to the plane.

“We thank our brothers in the Arab Republic of Egypt, especially the Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Red Crescent, for their cooperation and facilitation in the transportation process”, he wrote on X.

According to the special directives of the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, an initiative has been launched to provide medical treatment to 1,500 Palestinians injured in the Israel-Hamas conflict in the Gaza Strip, in addition to sponsoring 3,000 children who have lost their parents in the war.
