IIIT Lucknow launches online management courses

The Indian Institute of Information Technology or IIIT, Lucknow, is launching two full-time online management courses, a 2-year MBA in Digital Business and a 1-year Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, considering the Covid-19 pandemic. The courses, designed at par with the New Education Policy, will be run by its department of management and humanities, and everything from teaching to submission of assignments and examinations to getting a master's degree shall be done online.

IIIT-director, Arun Mohan Sherry, said, "We have increased the number of seats for MBA in Digital Business from 60 to 100 while for Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management, the admissions will be done for 30 seats."

While MBA in digital business course focuses on producing leaders who can take up roles related to digital business in the corporate sector or start their own online businesses, the second is an intensive, one-year, full-time diploma programme aimed at training individuals to enhance their skills and capabilities for challenging leadership roles.

The admission will be based on academic performance, work experience and personal interview.
