YouTuber Vijay P Nair assault case: Bhagyalakshmi and friends granted bail

Kochi: Dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi and activists Diya Sana and SreelakshmiArakkal have been granted bail on conditions by the high court in the case related to the assault on YouTuber Vijay P Nair.

Nair had filed a petition in the court against granting anticipatory bail to the accused who assaulted him over a video he uploaded which was derogatory towards women saying it would send a wrong message to the public. The High Court had earlier stayed the arrest of the three accused awaiting a decision on the anticipatory bail applications.

Nair was earlier arrested and then released on bail in the case registered by the women over his vulgar and derogatory videos with abusive comments on dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi, activist BinduAmmini, activist Sugathakumari and others.
