Wayanad disaster: NORKA director announces Rs 1 cr to CMs relief fund

JK Menon, Director of NORKA and Chairman of ABN Group announced a donation of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

In a heartfelt statement, JK Menon expressed his commitment to supporting the people of Wayanad during this difficult time. He emphasized that it is his duty to provide care and compassion, joining the rescue and rehabilitation activities led by the state government.

“As part of our charity efforts, Rs 1 crore will be contributed to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid the victims of the disaster in Wayanad and support relief work,” said JK Menon.

He stressed the importance of prioritizing rescue operations and rehabilitation measures at this stage. “It is our collective responsibility to stand with those who are destitute and hopeless, helping them rise in the journey of life,” he added.

JK Menon also expressed his deep condolences to those who lost their lives in the disaster and shared in the grief of those affected and currently in hospitals and relief centres.
