Monica: An AI story to usher in a radical change in Indian cinema: AN Shamseer

Mahe: A grand gala event was held at Mahe Chalakkara Excel Public School to celebrate the 25th day of the movie “Monica Oru AI Story.” The event was a resounding success, highlighting the community’s enthusiastic support and the movie’s positive impact. The celebration featured a vibrant atmosphere filled with joy and appreciation.

In his inaugural speech, Speaker A.N. Shamseer hailed the movie “Monica Oru AI Story” as the beginning of a radical change in Indian cinema. He emphasized the film’s significant impact on society and the need for teachers to go beyond traditional teaching roles to become second parents who understand children’s psychology.

In his speech, speaker Shamseer remarked, “In a society that has lost love, teachers must not only teach lessons but also become second parents, understanding the psychology of children. The government is considering how to transform the role of teachers. ‘Monica Oru AI Story’ points to the significant changes of tomorrow in the Indian film industry. The speaker congratulated the entire team for making this movie.


Despite inclement weather preventing their physical attendance, opposition leader V.D. Satheesan and Norka Roots Director J.K. Menon conveyed their congratulations through a video message.

Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan praised producer Mansoor Palloor and director E.M. Ashraf for showcasing the positive side of AI in the film. He emphasized the importance of using technology for good, despite its dual potential for positive and negative outcomes.

Norka Roots Director J.K. Menon also commended the team for releasing a socially responsible film centred around AI. Renowned novelist M. Mukundan commented on the role of AI in literature, saying, “AI cannot dream, love, or feel, but it can create miracles in health, education, and science. We need not fear AI; it has already entered literary fields.”

Gopinath Muthukad expressed his pride in acting in a film that tells the story of a hyperactive child. Liberty Basheer, chairman film exhibitors advisory committee noted the rarity of a movie being screened for 25 days in theaters nowadays and the unprecedented number of children coming to watch it.

Mambaram Indira Gandhi Public School Chairman Mambaram Divakaran and Master Damodaran, former teachers of Palloor High School, extended their greetings. The event honoured the actors and crew behind the film. The celebration began with a children’s musical sculpture performance, captivating the packed audience.

Producer Mansoor Palloor presided over the event, Director E.M. Ashraf gave the introductory speech. Dr. P. Ravindran welcomed the attendees, and Principal Excel Public School Sati M. Kurup delivered the vote of thanks.
