The state education department will gather evidence on Monday. The Director of Public Education will meet the boy's parents and school staff at the Ernakulam District Collectorate.

Mihir Ahmed, a ninth-grade student of Thiruvaniyoor Global Public School, committed suicide on January 15. Son of Salim and Rajna, Mihir jumped from the 26th floor of their apartment in Tripunithura.

Binu Aziz, the suspended VP, had mentally harassed the boy, and after this, the parents transferred him to the new school, Global Public School, where he was brutally ragged.

In the complaint filed by the parents, seeking an investigation, they said that Mihir was also subjected to brutal ragging at GEMS School, where VP Aziz also mentally harassed him. The parents filed a complaint with the Chief Minister, DGP, and the Child Rights Commission on Sunday, seeking an investigation. They said that Mihir's classmates took him to the washroom, physically abused him, and forced him to flush his face in the closet and lick the toilet seat. The student was also abused on the basis of his skin colour.

The boy's mother lamented in a press release released on 28th January, “Mihir was beaten, verbally abused, and forced to endure unimaginable humiliation even on his last day. He was forcibly taken to the washroom, made to lick a toilet seat, and had his head pushed into the toilet while it was flushed.”
