“I am not a drum for everyone to beat,”: Pinarayi Vijayan
text_fieldsKollam: "I am not a drum for everyone to beat," said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Tuesday. "If you are to beat, I am not that type to be scared and run away," CM said as he inaugurated a public meeting as part of LDF government's second anniversary here.
“Media persons are not supposed to be judges. People will judge. The government is well aware of the people. They will judge. Reasonsable criticisms will be entertained. Criticisms should be fair, not meant to satisfy animus. ,” he said.
Meanwhile, the CM said that a grave lapse of duty had occurred on the part of the police in the murder of Kevin.
"Serious lapse was committed on the part of the Sub Inspector. The incident happened at night. At the time, the Chief Minister had no programmes. On the next day, the SI was no where related to CM's programmes. A few ' research scholars' have discovered that SI was there when CM reached there for an inaugural function at Medical College. What did the SI do prior to and after the function? Some are trying to white wash the one who committed a wrong and want to portray the lapse as from the part of CM. I am not elaborating further on this as I have to do justice to the post I am holding," he said.
"The opposition was disturbed as Chengannur election and the second anniversary of the government happened together. Meanwhile they got a chance to attack the government. There will be no compromise if lapses occur on the part of police officers. We will recognize the good action and will take action when a lapse occurs," the CM said.
