I didn’t kill Jisha: Ameerul Islam tells court

Kochi: Ameerul Islam, accused in the Jisha murder case, has told the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court that he did not kill the Dalit law student.

“It was his friend Anar ul Islam who committed the murder,” Ameerul told the court.

Amir was produced in the court after his custody period came to an end. His bail petition too was submitted in the court. The court postponed hearing of his bail plea to September 26.

The 30-year-old dalit law student was allegedly raped and brutally murdered at her residence in Perumbavoor near here on April 28.
