Admiral Zakaullah takes charge as Pakistani Navy chief

Islamabad: Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah Tuesday assumed office as the Pakistani Navy chief at a ceremony held here.

Admiral Asif Sandila handed over command to Admiral Zakuallah at a ceremony at the Naval Headquarters, Dawn online reported.

Admiral Sandila wished Admiral Zakaullah success.

Senior defence officers and former naval chiefs also attended the ceremony.

President Mamnoon Hussain had Oct 2 named Admiral Zakaullah as the new Pakistani Navy chief on the advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
