Bhopal: On the 76th Independence Day, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that his government would make memories of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar' permanent' by building memorials.

In his address after hoisting the national flag at the Motilal Nehru stadium here, he claimed, "RSS founder Hedgewar ji had dedicated his entire life for the country and freedom struggle. His memories are associated with Rampayli in the Balaghat district. We will make his freedom struggle-related memories permanent in Rampayli."

A memorial will be built in Bhopal comprising statues of revolutionaries and heroes of the freedom struggle and will be named 'Veer Bharat Smarak, he said

Later he announced one lakh governments job, in the next year, among other announcements on the occasion of 76th Independence Day, IANS reported.

Besides jobs, he announced that aligning with the Centre's Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY), the MP government will launch 'Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana in the state. "Those could not get a house under PMAY would be provided the benefit of Mukhyamantri Awas Yojna," Chouhan said.

The Chief Minister also announced the rollout of a new youth policy and constitution of the Rajya Yuva Salahkar Parishad (state youth advisory council) and said recruitment for one lakh government jobs would be made within the following year.

"Swaraj colonies will be developed on 21,000 acres of land freed from land mafia in a bid to provide houses to the poor. I also announce the Chief Minister Jan Awas Yojana for those who are not eligible under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana," Chouhan said.

In the end, he also distributed the President's police medals for meritorious and commendable services.
