A video circulating on social media shows a man forcing a Muslim woman to repeatedly chant the slogan "Jai Shri Ram", triggering widespread criticism online.

In the video, the man, seen wearing a tilak, asks the woman her name. After she identifies herself as Maafia Akthara, he asks her to chant "Jai Shri Ram."

The woman initially appears hesitant but repeats the slogan. The man then repeatedly asks her to say it again, insisting she emphasise the word "Ram."

"Say it properly, I can't hear you," he is heard telling her in the video.

The conversation takes place in Bengali. However, the exact location of the incident has not been independently verified.

The video has reignited concerns over incidents in which individuals are coerced into chanting religious slogans. No official statement from the authorities regarding the incident was immediately available.
