VHP Demands law to curb 'Love Jihad'
text_fieldsNew Delhi: VHP International joint secretary Surendra Jain demanded Modi government to enact a law to prevent 'love jihad' in the country citing the murder of a 21years old college student in Haryana.
Jain allegedly claimed that many girls have been kidnapped within Mewat and Gurugram in the past seven days as part of the love "jihad conspiracy".
"The Central government must bring the law against 'love jihad'. Conversion cannot be allowed in any civilized society, this is an attack on the self-respect of Hindus and also on the security of the country," said Mr. Jain.
It was a few days before that in Haryana's Ballabgrah a 21year old college student was shot dead in a point-blank range near the college campus. The culprits Touseef and Rehan who were caught in a nearby CCTV footage were arrested by the police. Meanwhile, Jain charged that police is trying to protect the culprits and demanded necessary actions to prevent this.
