Vaccination in luxury hotels against guidelines: Centre

New Delhi: The central government has said it is against the guidelines issued by National Covid Vaccination Program for private hospitals to set up vaccinations in conjunction with luxury hotels. The Union Ministry of Health has directed the states to take action against such vaccinations.
According to the guidelines, vaccinations can be issued at government and private centres, workplaces, home centres for the elderly and the disabled, community centres, panchayat houses, schools, colleges and old age homes on a temporary basis.
The Union Ministry of Health has directed the states and Union Territories to monitor and ensure compliance with the guidelines while conducting the vaccination drive. Necessary legal and administrative actions must be pursued against those in violation of the guidelines, the statement said.
