Trump supporter in horned headpiece arrested in US Capitol violence
text_fieldsWashington: The man in horned headdress seen during the violence at US Capitol is one of the new arrests on Sunday.
Jacob Anthony Chansley, aka Jake Angeli had rushed alongside several hundreds into the chambers of Capitol, disrupting the proceedings.
A photo of him posing with American flag tired to a spear beamed across the world and authorities have now arrested him over violent incursion.
The tattoo-wearing man has been charged with "knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds" reports say.
Chansley describes himself as a "digital soldier" of the far-right QAnon conspiracy theory that claims Trump is waging a secret war against a global liberal cult of Satan-worshipping pedophiles, AFP reports.
He had been spotted at many pro-Trump events recently, because of his notable headpiece and tattoos.
Two others to be arrested alongside include 35-year-old Derrick Evans, who is a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates; and 36-year-old Adam Johnson from Florida.
