Hyderabad: Telangana politician YS Sharmila's car was towed away by cops on the streets of Hyderabad today. Shockingly, she was still inside the car.

She is the sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Her YSR Telangana Party has launched a padayatra against the K Chandrashekar Rao government. This morning, she joined the rally to Pragati Bhavan, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's official residence. Soon after she started the car, police came with a crane and towed the vehicle through the city's streets. Her supporters were seen running alongside the car.

The police claimed the protest caused a traffic bottleneck which led to them trying to evict demonstrators.

The march targets the KCR-led government and has covered about 3,500 km. She is accusing the government of large-scale corruption. Yesterday, she was detained after a clash between her supporters and workers of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in Warangal.

She was detained today as well and moved to a local police station. Today, she accused the TRS legislator from Narsampet constituency Peddireddy Sudershan Reddy of extorting money from people, grabbing land, and threatening contractors.

After yesterday's detention, she tweeted: "The TRS government is plotting to arrest me who is fighting for the people. TRS is inciting goons by using the police as workers. Is this a democracy or Taliban?"

The Telangana police reportedly claimed that providing security to her will be difficult because TRS workers have been mobilised everywhere and were attempting to chase her.
