Patna: Bihar Leader of Opposition and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav will lead a march to Raj Bhavan on Wednesday to protest alleged question paper leaks and irregularities in competitive examinations.

The march is aimed at mounting pressure on the state government to address the concerns of students and young job aspirants, Yadav said.

He accused the government of failing to control the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar and alleged that repeated incidents of paper leaks were undermining the state’s examination system.

According to Yadav, complaints of question paper leaks and other irregularities have emerged in examinations ranging from matriculation and intermediate tests to various recruitment examinations.

He also sought an explanation from the government over the alleged use of an AK-47 by police personnel during a protest by students in Siwan last month.

“When students in Siwan were raising their voice for their rights, the government did not listen to them. Instead, bullets were fired from an AK-47,” Yadav alleged.

He questioned who had ordered the firing and demanded that responsibility be fixed for the incident.

Yadav said he had raised the issue with Bihar Director General of Police Vinay Kumar and sought to know why the government had failed to take action against all those responsible.

He claimed that only one constable had been dismissed so far, while no action had been taken against other officials allegedly linked to the incident.

The RJD leader said the march would include students, teachers, coaching institute aspirants and others affected by the state’s examination and recruitment system. He also invited leaders from other states to join the protest.

Yadav criticised the BJP-led government over its promise to create one crore jobs, alleging that it had failed to provide even one lakh jobs.

He also attacked the government’s liquor prohibition policy, claiming that the ban had failed and alcohol was being delivered to homes despite official claims that prohibition remained in force.
