Sri Rama Sena Chief accuses Muslims, Christians of exploiting Sabarimala devotees

Sri Rama Sena President Pramod Muthalik expressed concerns over the alleged exploitation of devotees at the Sabarimala temple, accusing Muslims and Christians of taking advantage of the spiritual site.

Muthalik, known for his outspoken views, emphasized the significant revenue generated by the temple, surpassing Rs 3,000 crore, and criticized the Kerala government for what he called an atheist stance.

Muthalik claimed that the current government in Kerala was not providing adequate facilities for the millions of devotees visiting the temple, citing issues with parking, free food distribution, and overall convenience. He urged the Karnataka government to intervene and engage in discussions with their Kerala counterparts to ensure proper amenities for devotees.

Highlighting the suspension of the free food distribution program, Muthalik criticized the decision to hand it over to the police department, leading to a decline in the availability of Anna Prasadam for devotees. He called for the restoration of the previous system and urged the temple management to rectify the distribution of free food.

Muthalik also addressed concerns about water availability, bathroom facilities, and changes in the parking system, emphasizing the need for the Karnataka government to advocate for the well-being of Sabarimala devotees in Kerala.

As tensions rise over the alleged mismanagement of the temple and its facilities, the call for support from Karnataka adds a new dimension to the ongoing discourse surrounding one of South India's most renowned pilgrimage centres.
