SC expresses dissatisfaction over the adjournment request by CBI in the appeal petition against kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan in SNC Lavalin case.

"Why are you asking for adjournment every time the case is taking up?" Justice UU Lalit asked.

CBI told they need more time to file additional documents in the case.

CBI Counsel SG Thushar Mehta also apprised the court he has to appear for some other important matters in the next week. To this, court replied that it will keep on coming up either or the other case.

Court finally adjourned the matter for January 7,2021 for next hearing allowing time to CBI to file additional documents in the meanwhile.

SC had cautioned earlier that CBI has to argue rigorously as it is a case where Pinarayi Vijayan had been discharged with concurrent judgements of both lower court and Kerala High Court when matter had taken up first by the two judge bench of Justices UU Lalit and Vineet Saran.
