Alampur: A seven-year-old boy in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, was allegedly severely beaten by his teachers for missing two days of school. The incident, which occurred on September 11, has led to a police investigation after an FIR was lodged against the principal and a teacher.

The child, a Class 1 student at a primary school in Alampur village, reportedly suffered a fractured hand and extensive bruising on his back and waist. A video of the injured boy has been circulating on social media.

According to his mother, when the boy returned to school after a two-day absence, his teacher, Rakesh Saini, and the principal, Ravindra, assaulted him. The FIR states that Saini pressed his shoe on the boy’s face while the principal beat him with a stick. The teachers also reportedly threatened to kill the child if he returned, reported Siasat.

The boy's father, Shabbir, filed a complaint, and an FIR was registered against Saini and Ravindra under sections 75, 115(2), and 351(2). While the child's condition is stable, he is reportedly traumatized and refuses to go back to school. As of now, no arrests have been made.
