Savarkar's grandson challenges Rahul Gandhi to produce evidence of Savarkar's apology

Mumbai: The grandson of the late Hindutva ideologue VD Savarkar has come out against Rahul Gandhi's 'I am not Savarkar' remark, and has sought action against Rahul for using the names of patriots to promote politics.
Ranjit Savarkar has also challenged Rahul Gandhi to reveal documents that prove Savarkar had apologized to the British.
The BJP has criticized Rahul Gandhi's statement, "My name is not Savarkar, my name is Gandhi and Gandhi does not offer an apology to anyone," which he made during a press conference after being disqualified from the Lok Sabha.
Ranjit Savarkar called Gandhi's comment childish and challenged him to provide evidence that Savarkar apologized to the British.
Savarkar also stated that using the names of patriots for political gain is inappropriate and reprehensible, and action should be taken.
