Jaipur: Congress leader Sachin Pilot projected confidence in his party's return to power in Rajasthan as the state gears up for assembly polls on Saturday.

He asserted that the public's decision is already in favour of the Congress, emphasising the importance of addressing development issues and future planning in political rallies.

Pilot emphasised the need for leaders to prioritise public concerns in their campaign narratives. He acknowledged that despite attempts by the BJP to steer the discourse towards emotional issues, their campaign failed to resonate with the public.

The Congress leader dismissed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent allegations of victimisation, stating that such claims surface when the BJP senses a potential setback. Pilot highlighted the importance of unity among various sections of society and criticised the use of caste and religious politics, considering it detrimental to democracy.

Expressing optimism about the upcoming elections on December 3, Pilot urged citizens to exercise their voting rights diligently, emphasising the significance of leader, policy, and leadership while casting their votes.

The voting is scheduled for November 25 across 199 out of 200 assembly constituencies in Rajasthan, involving over 5.2 crore eligible voters. However, the election in the Karanpur constituency has been adjourned following the demise of a Congress candidate.

In the previous 2018 elections, the Congress secured 99 seats, while the BJP won 73 seats.
