During an official visit to Australia, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Wednesday, aiming to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Australia.

Jaishankar, who is visiting Australia from November 3-7, also conveyed greetings from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to PM Albanese.

“Delighted to call on PM Anthony Albanese in Canberra today. Conveyed warm greetings of PM @narendramodi. Value his guidance for deepening India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” Jaishankar shared on social media platform X.

In addition to his meeting with Albanese, Jaishankar met with Peter Dutton, leader of Australia’s Liberal Party, to discuss shared perspectives on global challenges and the ongoing support for India-Australia relations.

Jaishankar’s diplomatic engagements extended beyond Australia; he also met with New Zealand's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Winston Peters, to discuss areas of mutual interest, including education, technology, agriculture, and people-to-people ties, as well as Indo-Pacific and global issues.

Further, Jaishankar held talks with UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, marking the discussions as friendly and collaborative in Canberra.
