Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is facing intense backlash for provocative X posts framing US-Israel-Iran tensions in religious and cinematic terms.

Varma called the US-Iran clash a “fight between JESUS and ALLAH,” adding: “whoever wins I will CONVERT to that 💪💪💪.”

Users slammed the post for oversimplifying geopolitics and stoking religious division, with screenshots going viral.

Varma invoked “Might is right,” quoting his 2005 film Sarkar: “Jiske paas power hai, uska wrong bhi right hojata hai.” Many saw it as endorsing Trump's dominance.

On March 1, he compared the conflict to rival films Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic: “In one, people will die, and in the other, monies will die.” Critics accused him of trivializing war's human toll.

Varma claimed Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is “hiding” while Trump is not: “Ayatollah Khamenei is hiding, and Trump is not hiding, and the point is made.”

As of Day 5 of US-Israel strikes on Iran, the death toll hit 1,045 (Tasnim news agency).

Varma's late-night posts have fueled heated online debates.
