Raising Day celebrations to be held in Hyderabad, first time outside national capital
text_fieldsHyderabad: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will be holding its annual Raising Day celebrations in Hyderabad on March 12. This is the first time that CISF is holding the celebration outside the national capital New Delhi.
The CISF is a central armed police force functioning under the Union Home Ministry. It is one of the six paramilitary forces in the country. It was set up on March 10, 1969.
"This time, it will be celebrated at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hyderabad. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be the chief guest on this occasion. The preparation for the celebration is in full swing. A long list of guests has been prepared," said a senior official to ANI. The celebration is usually at the CISF ground located on the outskirts of Delhi, in Ghaziabad.
All paramilitary forces have been celebrating their Raising day outside Delhi for the last couple of years.
On December 1, BSF held a Raising Day Parade in Amritsar. It was the second time outside of Delhi. On March 19, CRPF will hold an annual Raising Day in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district which used to be once dominated by Left Wing Extremism (LWE).
