Producer Sherlyn Chopra levels fresh allegations against director Sajid Khan
text_fieldsIn 2019, producer and content creator Sherlyn Chopra had opened up about sexual misconduct she had allegedly faced at the hands of prominent Bollywood director Sajid Khan. Chopra has now come forward once more to reiterate the abuse she claims to have happened in 2005.
"I was emotionally broken at the time as in early April 2005, I had lost my father, late Dr Prem Sagar Chopra," the producer revealed in a series of tweets. "A few days after my father's demise, I was called for a meeting by the filmmaker."
Chopra went on to describe the harrowing encounter she had to face in which she claimed that the filmmaker attempted to get her to feel and touch his penis.
When asked why she had not come forward earlier, Chopra alleged that there was a strong "syndicate" surrounding such prominent people to vouch for him and that she had little hope of being believed.
In the #MeToo movement which rocked Bollywood over the previous few years, Sajid Khan had been on the receiving end of several allegations of sexual assault and misconduct, most prominently accused of asking the late Jiah Khan to strip for him during the shooting of his 'Housefull' movie.
The revelations were made by Jiah's sister Karishma in the BBC documentary "Death in Bollywood" which traced Jiah Khan's life, career to her mysterious death in 2013.
