Pondicherry: In solidarity with the people of Gaza and demanding an immediate ceasefire, students of Pondicherry University staged a massive demonstration on campus.

The call for a global strike on Monday resonated with the students following the heavy bombing of civilians by Israeli forces and the rising death toll surpassing 18,000.

Organised by the Fraternity Movement unit committee, the gathering saw a large turnout of students.

Fraternity Movement unit General Secretary Labeeba addressed the crowd, raising critical questions about the ongoing slaughter of civilians in Gaza and urging global action to pressure for an immediate ceasefire. Hadiya recited poetry of writer Refaat Al-Areer who was killed in Israeli airstrikes.

The demonstrations all over the world reflect the growing international outrage against the violence in Gaza and the call for an immediate ceasefire.
