text_fieldsNew Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a new solar panel scheme for houses in the country after returning from Ayodhya participating in the consecration of Ram Temple.
PM Modi said he was inspired by the understanding that ‘all devotees of the world get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram,’ according to NDTV.
The “ Pran Pratishtha” ceremony, began at 12.20 p.m on Monday, saw PM Modi taking part in the rituals, and afterwards made an impassioned speech to a gathering which included seers and prominent personalities.
‘Today, our Ram has arrived. After a long wait for ages, our Ram has arrived,’ he told the gathering, adding ‘Our Ram Lalla will no longer live in a tent. Our Ram Lalla will stay in a magnificent temple.’
Shortly after returning from the ceremony, PM Modi in a post on X said ‘The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch "Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.’
The solar scheme, PM Modi hoped, would ‘not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class, but also make India self-reliant in the field of energy.’
During his address to the gathering after consecration PM Modi said ‘Ram is not a fire, he is an energy’, adding that ‘Ram is not a dispute, he is a solution. Ram is not just ours, he is everyone's.’
The Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, fashioned in the traditional Nagara style, has 392 pillars and 44 doors along with intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, according to NDTV.
