Patna firing case: Anticipatory bail granted to Khan Sir and staff members
text_fieldsPatna: In a major relief for popular online educator Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, the Patna Civil Court on Monday granted him anticipatory bail regarding a firing incident at his coaching institute.
The court also extended anticipatory bail to three of his staff members and granted regular bail to two security guards who had been previously arrested in connection with the case.
The legal matter stems from a violent clash in early June, when a group of miscreants allegedly vandalized Khan Sir's coaching institute, prompting his security guards to open fire during the altercation. Defence lawyer Arvind Kumar Mouar confirmed that the judge announced Khan Sir's anticipatory bail first, followed by the decisions for his three staff members and the two arrested guards, bringing the total number of individuals granted relief to six.
The final ruling on Monday came after a series of procedural delays. The court had originally heard the final arguments from both sides and reserved its order on July 8, but was forced to defer the decision on Friday because the district judge was on leave.
