Mother of 10-year-old preacher seeks action against YouTubers for anti-Hindu content
text_fieldsA Mathura court is set to examine a complaint filed by the mother of Abhinav Arora, a 10-year-old preacher widely recognised as Bal Sant Baba, requesting the registration of a criminal case against seven YouTubers alleged to have defamed the child and instigated hate against his religious beliefs.
The mother claims that the YouTubers’ content targeted her son’s Hindu faith and that their actions were part of a broader effort to incite hostility toward his religious practices.
According to the complaint, the YouTubers uploaded videos aimed at mocking Arora’s faith and intruding upon his privacy, which, the mother contends, has caused her young son significant emotional distress.
The petition describes how the content has impacted the boy’s ability to freely observe his religious beliefs and continue his daily routine without fear of harassment. The mother states that the resulting strain has pushed her family to a crisis point, bringing them to the “stage of absolute collapse.”
The complaint also characterises the accused YouTubers as “anti-Hindu” individuals profiting from content designed to provoke resentment among viewers and “pollute” the minds of Hindu followers. The mother argues that this content not only disparages her son but also threatens communal harmony, amounting to an effort to disrupt religious peace and propagate divisive sentiments.
Her petition seeks judicial intervention to prompt the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) for several criminal offences, including defamation, criminal conspiracy, and incitement of religious hostility. She alleges that the police were initially contacted for assistance but failed to act, leading her to seek redress through the court.
In a related claim, the mother reported receiving a life threat directed at her son from associates of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, currently incarcerated in Sabarmati Central Jail, Ahmedabad.
Bishnoi, linked to multiple violent incidents, is under scrutiny for suspected involvement in crimes across India and North America, including the high-profile killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in May 2022 and, more recently, the killing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. The threat allegedly conveyed through a missed call and subsequent message, has heightened the family’s concerns over Arora’s safety.
