The National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Indian National Congress (INC), filed a missing person report with the Delhi Police against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. NSUI General Secretary Nagesh Kariyappa filed the complaint about the "disappearance of the country's Home Minister at the time of the pandemic."

Kariyappa said that politicians must be accountable to the people of the country when the country is suffering from a deadly pandemic and citizens are facing a crisis and not run away.

NSUI national secretary and in charge of its media and communication wing Lokesh Chugh alleged that when people need the government to take care of them, its office-bearers are nowhere to be seen.

The current government has failed to do so, and as a result, the NSUI has filed a missing person complaint against the Home Minister and is waiting for the government to answer to its people, Kariyappa added.
