Pratapgarh (UP): A married woman, who was reported missing two weeks ago, was found buried by a riverbank here in Uttar Pradesh, police informed on Sunday.
The 22-year-old woman's body was exhumed and sent to postmortem, PTI reported citing police.
Circle Officer Abhay Pandey told PTI, "As per the police complaint, a 22-year-old married woman, a resident of Kanshiram colony under Kotwali Police Station, had gone missing on July 12. Her body was found buried near the riverbank."
He added, "A case has been registered against the husband of the victim and others regarding the incident." A police investigation has been initiated on the matter.
