Mumbai: Despite being granted bail to the Marathi actress Ketaki Chitale on a case in which she allegedly shared an objectionable post on senior political leader Sharad Pawar, he has to stay in jail. There are other cases on her other than the one she got bail, NDTV reported.

A Pune court had granted her bail on the case, but the 29-year-old has more than 20 other police cases against her, which were also on the same Facebook post with the problematic comment on Pawar, the Nationalist Congress Party president.

Ketaki Chitale was arrested by Thane Police on May 14. She had approached the Bombay High Court, moving a challenge against her arrest. She contended that her arrest was not according to law and should be declared invalid. She had also sought the court to stay the investigation into the cases against her.

The hearing on them is pending.
