Chittorgarh:Two men from Madhya Pradesh were attacked in a town called Begu in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan over suspicions of cow trafficking.

One of them, Babu Lal Bhil (25) is died while his companion, Pintu is under treatment.

The vehicle in which the victims travelled was forced to stop by a large crowd who pulled them out of the vehicle and assaulted them.

Satyavir Singh, Inspector-General (Udaipur Range) of the town said that the police station was informed that a gang was beating some people carrying cows in their vehicle. When the police officers arrived, people from nearby Raiti village and surrounding areas were seen attacking two men.

Police said that the attackers had snatched away the victims' mobile phones and documents. "They ran away when the police arrived. Our officers rescued the men and took them to hospital," he added.

The police have detained eight people in connection with the incident. Inspector Singh said that the officers have visited the spot for further investigations, and no accused person will be spared.

Additional Director General, Ravi Meherda said the culprits will be charged with murder.
