Man mercilessly assaults Muslim elder men in public in Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi: A youth has been arrested for brutally beating up Muslim elders for allegedly not giving way to a scooter. The incident took place in Budaun, UP. The police registered a case four days after the incident that took place on February 15. The video footage of the incident has also been released. The footage is already viral on social media.
The video shows the Muslim elders being slapped and kicked. He is also following them. Police said that the accused in the case, Akshay, has been arrested. He was produced in court and remanded in judicial custody, said Station House Officer Uday Veer Singh. The police added that the accused is from the Kasaba Rudayan area and is unemployed.
Abdul Saleem, the complainant in the case, said that they were attacked while going to Kasaba Rudayan for work. While they were walking on the road, the accused honked his horn and arrived on a scooter. He then beat them up, accusing them of not giving way to the vehicle. Abdul Saleem said that the man spoke to them in bad language and continued to beat them when they objected. The video of the incident has also been shared by the Congress through its X account.
