Losing all the running seats, AAP gathers votes even less than NOTA

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party lost all the seats contested in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh assembly elections. The ruling party in Delhi and Punjab is even behind Nota in terms of vote share.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party claims to be the largest opposition party in North India with the defeat of the Congress. Party leader Jasmin Shah tweeted that AAP, which is ruling in two states in North India, is the biggest opposition. Congress is in power only in Himachal Pradesh in North India.
The Aam Aadmi Party issued an official statement congratulating the BJP for winning three seats and the Congress for winning in Telangana. The statement said that they accept the mandate and let the BJP governments fulfil their promises to the people. As promised, through the Chief Minister's scheme, the people will be able to build houses and provide LPG at 450 rupees. Let this cheap LPG be made available in all states - AAP said.
The statement further said that the Aam Aadmi Party is in its transformation phase, and the aim was to ensure that its message reached the people. BJP long lost Karnataka. In the Andhra Pradesh elections, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the campaign, the BJP lost all 173 seats and fell behind Nota, the statement said.
An AAP leader said that if an alliance exist and goes ahead, the Congress will have to compromise on the number of seats it will contest in 2024. Aam Aadmi is a very young party and has been there for 75 years, like the Congress. They are growing, and growth doesn't happen overnight, the leader said.
