Lord Ram not only Hindus’, but the whole world’s: Farooq Abdullah
text_fieldsPoonch: Lord Ram does not belong to Hindus alone, but all the people of the world, National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah claimed. He said that Ram is the lord of people across the world and it is written in books, Asian News International reported.
He said that he congratulates everyone who works behind the Ayodhya Ram Temple, which is going to be inaugurated soon.
Later, stating that Lord Ram gave the message of brotherhood, they pointed out that the brotherhood in India is diminishing and it must be revived. Abdullah said that Ram spread the universal message of brotherhood, love, unity and helping others. He said that the lord always advises to uplift the fallen, irrespective of their religion or ethnicity. On the occasion of the Lord Ram’s temple inauguration, Abdullah wishes to tell everyone to maintain brotherhood.
The consecration of the Ram temple is scheduled on January 22. The idol of Ram Lalla (Lord Ram in his childlike form) will be installed in the grand temple, and the ceremony is expected to be attended by hundreds of officials, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with some 4,000 invited saints from all sects, ANI reports.
Rituals towards the consecration are scheduled to start on January 16, around a week before the main ceremony. The main rituals of the ceremony will be performed by Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a Vedic priest from Varanasi. Ayodhya will observe the week from January 14-22 as Amrit Mahautsav.
