Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren claims 'conspiracy' ahead of appearing before ED in illegal mining case
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren alleged a "conspiracy to destabilize" his government hours before appearing before Enforcement Directorate( ED) in Ranchi on Thursday.
Soren is facing charges in the controversial mining case that has rocked the state for long.
At the press conference this morning, Soren said it was beyond his understanding how Rs 1,000 crore illegal mining figures were reached, The Indian Express reported.
In order for the figures in scam to have happened, 8 croe metric tons of stones were to be mined, which is four times the legally mined quantity, he said.
Expanding further he said that 20,000 trains and 33 lakh trucks would be required to carry out the mining this scale, and added that " It is basically not possible."
Jharkhand Chief Minister, according to the report, is likely to appear before ED alone.
In order to ram home the message of conspiracy behind ED's move, his party will hold a 'Jan Aakrosh' rally at Morabadi in Ranchi.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Thursday, giving a huge jolt to the BJP.
