New Delhi: An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Bagdogra with 238 people aboard made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport Sunday morning after crew discovered a bomb threat note in the aircraft toilet. Flight 6E-6650 landed safely at 9:17 am and was isolated for thorough security checks.
A handwritten note on tissue paper found in the lavatory prompted immediate diversion to Lucknow as precaution. Air Traffic Control received the alert at 8:46 am, activating full emergency protocols. All 230 passengers (222 adults, 8 infants), 2 pilots, and 5 crew deplaned safely for scanning.
Bomb disposal squads and CISF teams swept the aircraft and perimeter. IndiGo confirmed full cooperation with authorities while providing passengers refreshments and updates during checks.
